The Abolitionist Movement

The Abolitionist Movement

The slavery abolition movement sought to end the institution of slavery through activism and advocacy in America between the 18th and 19th centuries. Our enthusiastic 10th graders embarked on a profound exploration of this important time in history.

They learned about the influential role played by different abolitionists like Frederick Douglasss, William Lloyd Garrison and many others. Our students skillfully dramatized their narratives, breathing life into history’s remarkable figures. Through engaging discussions, they conveyed their views on slavery and expressed later how this activity deepened their historical understanding.

In addition, the students honed their critical and creative thinking skills  throughout the experience. Simultaneously, they had the opportunity to practice and enhance their English language skills.

Join us in reliving this educational journey through this video  as we uncover the lessons of the past, foster empathy, and empower the minds of our future change-makers and decision-takers.
