Inter-institutional agreement for sustainability

Inter-institutional agreement for sustainability

Last week, Torremar signed an agreement with CLARO to participate in an electronic device recycling campaign sponsored by the telecommunications company.

Alfredo Escobar, CEO of CLARO Ecuador, made this announcement during his last visit and as part of his lecture to the Young Entrepreneurs Club. He addressed the issue of connectivity and technology as allies of development and sustainability. “Over time, businesses are sustained because they contribute to transforming society positively,” he remarked.

In addition, our guest highlighted the relevance of young talent, and how academic training, as well as values, influences professional development.

Part of the agreement includes guided visits to Claro facilities, internship opportunities for Torremar alumni, etc.

We appreciate the visit by Mr. Escobar and the other representatives of CLARO, who explained the recycling campaign to our students.

We encourage all of our school families to participate in the initiative that will significantly contribute to reducing the environmental impact generated by the production of electronic equipment.

The recycling stations will be distributed around the school, where our students will be able to leave their obsolete electronic devices.
